Just days later, a far more disturbing case emerged. Relatives contacted police on November 28th, reporting a horrifying attack on a 69-year-old woman outside her own home. She had been approached and struck without warning, leaving her injured and terrified.
Detectives painstakingly pieced together the evidence, and a chilling realization dawned: Puerto-Rios was the suspect in both attacks. The seemingly random nature of the assaults amplified the community’s growing anxiety.
The woman’s granddaughter, desperate for answers, turned to social media, sharing a plea for help and a heartbreaking image of her grandmother’s injuries. “He hit my grandma for no reason and ran off,” she wrote, detailing the deep bruises from the fall.
