AOC'S WILD SPENDING REVEALED: Luxury Hotels & Bad Bunny Parties?!

AOC'S WILD SPENDING REVEALED: Luxury Hotels & Bad Bunny Parties?!

A political firestorm ignited as details emerged regarding Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign spending during a recent trip to Puerto Rico. Nearly $50,000 was allocated between late June and September, raising questions about priorities and optics.

The expenditures included substantial sums for luxury accommodations and dining. Over $15,000 was spent at two high-end San Juan hotels – Hotel Palacio Provincial and Hotel El Convento – establishments known for their elegance and premium services.

Adding to the scrutiny, more than $10,500 was designated for meals and catering, with receipts indicating visits to exclusive restaurants like Cocina Abierta and Verde Mesa. These choices stand in stark contrast to the message of economic hardship often conveyed during her public appearances.

A significant $23,000 was recorded as a “venue rental” payment for the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, the very arena hosting Bad Bunny’s highly popular residency tour. This timing coincided with Representative Ocasio-Cortez’s attendance at one of the concerts, captured in widely circulated social media videos.

Footage surfaced showing the congresswoman at the Bad Bunny concert alongside Representative Nydia Velázquez, a scene that sparked debate given her simultaneous public advocacy against gentrification within the same territory. The juxtaposition fueled criticism regarding the perceived disconnect between her actions and rhetoric.

The campaign’s financial disclosures reveal a pattern of spending beyond Puerto Rico. Thousands more were allocated for luxury hotels and upscale dining across the United States during the same quarter.

In Burlington, Vermont, nearly $5,000 was spent at the Hotel Vermont, following a previous visit that incurred over $1,600 in costs. Similar expenditures were documented at boutique hotels in New York City and Brooklyn, reflecting a consistent preference for high-end lodging.

The spending extended to lavish meals, including a $6,300 bill at a renowned D.C. restaurant and a $4,500 expense for ice cream. Catering services from a D.C.-area executive chef added another $4,400 to the total.

These financial records paint a picture of a campaign that consistently utilizes premium services and accommodations, prompting questions about resource allocation and the message conveyed to constituents. The details have quickly become a focal point of political discussion.
