£20K for a NAME: Unmask This Killer NOW!

The night of March 20th descended on Tottenham, north London, with a chilling finality for Mahad Abdi Mohamed. Just before 9 pm, the 27-year-old man was struck by a single gunshot to the head on Waverley Road, a moment that shattered lives and launched a desperate search for answers.

Investigators now believe Mahad was tragically caught in the crossfire of a violent, targeted attack – a devastating case of mistaken identity. The perpetrators, arriving in a stolen Mitsubishi Outlander, unleashed their violence before abandoning the vehicle and fleeing the scene, later found burned out as evidence of their desperate escape.

A second man, a 26-year-old friend of Mahad’s, also suffered a gunshot wound to the leg during the attack, receiving medical treatment for his injuries. The incident suggests a calculated operation, with the suspects utilizing a stolen blue Jaguar to navigate to and from the scene, adding layers of complexity to the investigation.

Leading the inquiry, Detective Chief Inspector Rebecca Woodsford spoke with raw emotion, acknowledging the profound grief felt by Mahad’s family. She emphasized the unbearable weight of his loss, particularly as the festive season approaches – a time that will forever be marked by his absence.

The investigation has already seen four adult men arrested on suspicion of murder, though they have since been released on bail while inquiries continue. Despite these steps, the crucial piece of the puzzle remains elusive: the definitive information that will lead to the identification and apprehension of those responsible.

DCI Woodsford issued a heartfelt plea to anyone harboring knowledge of the events of that night. She urged individuals to overcome any fear or hesitation and come forward, emphasizing that even the smallest detail could be the key to unlocking the truth and bringing closure to a grieving family.
