A storm is brewing in Washington as Senate Democrats prepare for legal battles and intense investigations following the release of hundreds of thousands of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. Senator Dick Durbin, a key figure on the Senate Judiciary Committee, lamented that the release could have been a victory for survivors and accountability, but instead, fell drastically short.
Durbin directly accused the previous administration of violating the law and vowed a thorough investigation by the Judiciary Committee. He asserted that the actions taken demonstrate a clear allegiance to powerful elites, rather than the interests of the American people.
