A recent, informal survey conducted at a large conservative gathering revealed a clear picture of which figures from a previous administration resonate most – and least – with its attendees. The poll, designed to gauge sentiment, offered a fascinating glimpse into the priorities and preferences of this dedicated base.
The individual receiving the highest marks was a cabinet member known for bold action and a return to traditional values. An overwhelming 83.3% of attendees expressed strong approval of his performance, with nearly 95% overall viewing him favorably. His initiatives, including a significant departmental name change and a firm stance against certain ideologies within the military, clearly struck a chord.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. also garnered substantial support, with approval ratings of 76.6% and 80.8% respectively. Kennedy, in particular, enjoyed broad appeal, with 96.8% expressing either strong or some level of approval.
However, not all cabinet members were met with universal acclaim. The Attorney General faced the most significant disapproval, with over 13% voicing strong disagreement with her performance. Despite this, a substantial majority still maintained a positive view of her work within the administration.
The Homeland Security Secretary, recognized for her assertive approach to border security and deportations, received overwhelmingly positive feedback. A remarkable 90.1% of attendees expressed approval of her efforts, highlighting the importance of these issues to the conference participants.
Other cabinet positions, like Treasury and Transportation, also enjoyed solid approval ratings in the eighties. Yet, several roles – including Interior, Agriculture, Commerce, Labor, and Veterans Affairs – drew a significant number of “unsure” responses, suggesting lower familiarity among attendees.
Looking ahead to the next presidential election, the survey revealed a clear frontrunner for the Republican nomination. A commanding 84.2% of respondents favored the current Vice President, leaving other potential candidates far behind in the polls.
When asked about the administration’s most significant achievement, securing the border emerged as the clear winner, cited by nearly 60% of those polled. Deportations followed as a second key accomplishment, demonstrating a strong emphasis on national security and immigration control.
Attendees also voiced their primary concerns, with winning the midterm elections and confronting radical Islam topping the list. The desire to maintain and expand Republican majorities in Congress was palpable, with over 63% identifying it as the conservative movement’s top priority for 2026.
The perceived threats facing the nation were starkly defined. Radical Islam topped the list, closely followed by socialism and Marxism, mass migration, and economic concerns. These responses underscored a deep-seated anxiety about the direction of the country.
Reflecting these concerns, an overwhelming 89.5% of respondents expressed support for a temporary halt to all new immigration into the United States. This strong stance highlights the intensity of feeling surrounding border security and national identity.
The survey participants themselves were overwhelmingly aligned with conservative principles. A full 88.3% identified as Republican, and a staggering 94.7% described themselves as conservative, providing a clear indication of the ideological leaning of the group.
