Initial reports claimed that the CCTV cameras positioned outside Epstein’s cell had inexplicably malfunctioned. This explanation fueled conspiracy theories and accusations of a cover-up, particularly given the high-profile nature of the case and the powerful individuals connected to Epstein.
Epstein, a 66-year-old financier and convicted pedophile, had reportedly used a bedsheet secured to his bunk bed. The image conjured a scene of desperation, yet details emerging after his death painted a far more complex picture.
