A quiet Friday afternoon in Wallace, Idaho, shattered as gunfire erupted near the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office and Courthouse. The small town, home to just over a thousand people, was plunged into chaos as an active shooter unleashed a barrage of bullets, leaving three injured before being stopped by law enforcement.
The first shots rang out around 2:30 p.m., echoing through the downtown streets. Witnesses described a relentless volley of gunfire, with the suspect targeting nearby businesses, including an Ace Hardware store directly across from the sheriff’s office.
