SOROS' JURY INFILTRATION: Are Your Trials Rigged?

SOROS' JURY INFILTRATION: Are Your Trials Rigged?

A gathering is planned, co-hosted with an organization called Harriet’s Wildest Dreams, centered around a surprisingly potent idea: transforming jury duty into an act of social justice.

The event aims to explore the true weight of serving on a jury, and how that role can be actively used to protect vulnerable communities. Organizers believe the justice system disproportionately targets marginalized groups, and jury participation is a critical defense.

The core message is that jury duty isn’t merely a civic obligation, but a powerful lever for fairness. By engaging in this fundamental process, individuals can directly influence outcomes and push for a more equitable legal landscape.

Initially open to all, the session has unexpectedly drawn attention, potentially leading to changes in accessibility. The surge in interest highlights a growing awareness of the power held within the jury box.

The organization spearheading this effort, known as Free DC, receives substantial funding from large progressive philanthropies. A significant donation of $20 million from the Open Society Foundations initially sparked scrutiny last August.

That initial attention arose when Free DC actively opposed the deployment of National Guard troops to the capital following a series of highly publicized violent crimes. Their response was immediate and vocal.

Free DC’s stated “guiding principles” include directives like “Do not obey in advance” and “Take up space.” They’ve previously encouraged nightly demonstrations, urging supporters to create a public disturbance during periods of heightened security.

Since a recent protest, Free DC has scheduled further events, including “Cop Watch Training,” signaling a continued intention to challenge increased law enforcement presence and the removal of homeless encampments.

Following a November shooting involving National Guard troops, allegedly perpetrated by an Afghani migrant, the group again faced criticism for a controversial social media post. The incident brought their stance into sharp focus.

In the wake of the attack, which tragically resulted in the death of a soldier, Free DC reiterated their belief that the National Guard’s presence was inherently unsafe for both the troops and the local community.

Their statement expressed condolences to the families affected, while simultaneously framing the deployment itself as the root cause of the tragedy. Since that post, the group’s social media account has remained inactive.

Attempts to gain comment from both Free DC and Harriet’s Wildest Dreams have been unsuccessful, leaving many questions unanswered about their future plans and motivations.
