The unfolding danger came to light when Sturdivant began communicating online with someone he believed was an ISIS operative. Unbeknownst to him, this contact – identified as “OC” – was actually a government employee working undercover to infiltrate extremist networks. The digital trail quickly revealed a disturbing intent.
On December 14th, Sturdivant sent an image to “OC” depicting hammers and a knife, a grim foreshadowing of his intentions. His online declarations were even more alarming, proclaiming himself “a soldier of the state” and vowing to carry out “jihad” soon. The chilling words painted a clear picture of escalating radicalization.
The plan solidified as Sturdivant discussed attacking a specific grocery store, even contemplating acquiring a firearm to supplement his arsenal of knives. Investigators discovered detailed handwritten notes during a search of his residence, outlining a meticulously planned assault.
A document titled “New Years Attack 2026” laid bare the horrifying scope of his ambition. It listed a disturbing inventory – a vest, mask, tactical gloves, and multiple knives – alongside a target of 20 to 21 victims. The note chillingly included a section labeled “martyrdom Op,” detailing a plan to engage and attack responding law enforcement.
Hidden beneath his bed, authorities found a blue hammer, a wooden-handled hammer, and two butcher knives, confirming the tangible threat. The evidence painted a stark portrait of a young man consumed by extremist ideology and intent on inflicting mass harm.
