RAPAPORT'S WAR: He's Declaring Mayoral Battle Against NYC's 'Evil' Politician!

RAPAPORT'S WAR: He's Declaring Mayoral Battle Against NYC's 'Evil' Politician!

Michael Rapaport, the actor known for his raw honesty and outspoken nature, has announced a surprising new ambition: to become the next mayor of New York City.

This isn’t a gradual shift in career goals, but a direct response to the recent election of Zohran Mamdani, the city’s first Muslim mayor. Rapaport has been increasingly critical of Mamdani, particularly regarding his views on Israel and what Rapaport perceives as unrealistic campaign promises.

The announcement came during Rapaport’s podcast, where he playfully adopted the moniker “Mayor Rapaport,” alongside a string of self-proclaimed nicknames. He framed his decision as a necessary intervention, predicting continued turmoil in the city and a need for strong, direct leadership.

Michael Rapaport speaks at rally outside The Museum of Art known as the 'The Hostages and Missing Square' on December 16, 2023 in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Rapaport revealed he subtly foreshadowed his run with a New Year’s Day Instagram post, timed to coincide with Mamdani’s inauguration. The post outlined his core platform: a no-nonsense approach focused on safety, affordability, and a rejection of “free” handouts.

He contrasted his vision with what he sees as Mamdani’s shortcomings, repeatedly referring to the mayor with disparaging nicknames. Rapaport insists he won’t allow someone he fundamentally disagrees with to lead the city he loves.

This isn’t a sudden outburst. Rapaport has publicly criticized Mamdani for months, often focusing on his religious identity and political stances. His language has been consistently harsh, expressing deep concern over the direction he believes the city is heading.

On his podcast, Rapaport didn’t hold back, using inflammatory language to describe his assessment of the current mayor. He expressed a belief that Mamdani will exceed expectations for negative outcomes, and even requested resumes from listeners, signaling a serious intent to build a team.

Rapaport’s decision stems from a deep-seated conviction that his New York City is under threat. He paints a picture of a city needing a firm hand and a clear vision, one he believes he alone can provide.

He’s positioning himself as a direct antidote to what he perceives as a dangerous ideological shift, promising a return to pragmatic governance and unwavering commitment to the city’s core values.
