VENZUEALA COLLAPSING: Cartels & Militias SEIZE Control!

VENZUEALA COLLAPSING: Cartels & Militias SEIZE Control!

Venezuela stands at a precipice, gripped by uncertainty following the arrest of its former president. A complex web of armed groups – militias, guerrillas, and criminal networks – now threatens to unravel any hope for a stable transition.

With interim President Delcy Rodríguez assuming power, backed by external forces, the nation is saturated with heavily armed factions capable of derailing progress. Analysts warn that even a semblance of order could be sabotaged by the deliberate creation of instability.

These aren’t isolated pockets of resistance; armed groups operate across the entirety of Venezuelan territory. Rodríguez faces the daunting task of maintaining control, a delicate balancing act dependent on the loyalty of powerful, hardline figures within the existing regime.

The focus is intensely on Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello, considered the most volatile and unpredictable element. Securing his approval, along with that of Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino, is crucial for any potential agreement with outside powers.

In the wake of the leadership change, government-aligned militias, known as “colectivos,” have been deployed to enforce order and suppress any opposition. Checkpoints have sprung up in the capital, with civilians subjected to searches of their phones and vehicles.

Beyond the capital, a dangerous power vacuum is being exploited by guerrilla groups and organized crime. Along the vast border with Colombia, and within the resource-rich interior, these groups are consolidating their influence.

The National Liberation Army (ELN), a Colombian Marxist guerrilla organization designated as a terrorist group, has been operating within Venezuela, effectively functioning as a paramilitary force aligned with the previous government’s interests.

Should the current power structure fracture, the ELN is poised to side with the most radical elements of the ruling ideology. This suggests a potential escalation of violence and a deepening of the crisis.

The “colectivos” themselves are vocal about their role as enforcers of political loyalty, declaring themselves the “fundamental tool” to continue the fight. Their presence is a constant reminder of the regime’s willingness to use force.

Adding to the complexity, splinter groups from Colombia’s former FARC rebels, like the Segunda Marquetalia, are also active. These groups frequently collaborate with local crime syndicates, creating a dangerous network of illicit activity.

The Tren de Aragua cartel, now designated a foreign terrorist organization, has expanded its reach beyond Venezuela, extending its operations into Colombia, Chile, and even the United States. Its growing influence represents a significant threat to regional security.

Evidence suggests the former leadership was deeply involved in a culture of corruption, facilitating drug trafficking with groups like the Sinaloa Cartel, the ELN, FARC factions, and the Tren de Aragua. This network of criminal alliances further complicates the path toward stability.

A shop owner in Caracas, a 69-year-old named Oswaldo, summed up the prevailing sentiment: the future is uncertain. With armed groups proliferating and the situation rapidly evolving, only time will tell what fate awaits Venezuela.

The environment of instability, as one analyst noted, inherently benefits these armed actors. The delicate balance of power, and the potential for fragmentation, creates a fertile ground for conflict and further chaos.
