MINNEAPOLIS MELTDOWN: They're Banning Cars—You Won't Believe WHY!

MINNEAPOLIS MELTDOWN: They're Banning Cars—You Won't Believe WHY!

The weight of six months pressed heavily on ICE agent Jonathan Ross as he faced another vehicle bearing down on him. Just half a year prior, he’d been dragged nearly 100 yards by a car, suffering grievous injuries – 16 to 30 stitches couldn’t erase the memory. Now, in Minneapolis, another SUV hurtled toward him, forcing a split-second decision with devastating consequences.

Vice President Vance didn’t mince words, asking a rhetorical question that hung in the air: “So you think maybe he’s a little bit sensitive about somebody ramming him with an automobile?” The question wasn’t about justification, but about understanding the visceral reaction of someone facing a terrifyingly familiar threat. It was a plea for empathy in a situation rapidly becoming inflamed.

The tragic death of Renee Nicole Good has ignited a firestorm, with many seeking to elevate her to a symbol. But the stark reality, obscured by political rhetoric, is that her actions directly led to the fatal outcome. Compliance with law enforcement, a simple act, would have meant she was alive today, her children still with their mother.

Members of law enforcement work the scene following a suspected shooting by an ICE agent during federal law enforcement operations in Minneapolis, Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026.

The sequence of events is chillingly clear: a refusal to stop, a reversal, then accelerating directly toward the agents, one pinned between the car and the driver’s door. There was no room for negotiation, no opportunity for de-escalation. The shooting wasn’t a choice, but a reaction to an immediate, life-threatening danger.

Vance asserted Good wasn’t an innocent bystander, but part of a group actively attempting to interfere with law enforcement operations. He framed her actions as a deliberate attempt to obstruct justice, a dangerous escalation fueled by radical ideologies. “The reason this woman is dead is because she tried to ram somebody with her car,” he stated bluntly, “and that guy acted in self-defence.”

The incident echoes a horrific tragedy from 2011, the death of York Regional Police Constable Garrett Styles. Dragged 300 metres by a fleeing vehicle, Styles radioed for help, even expressing concern for his attacker before succumbing to his injuries. The young driver survived, but is now paralyzed – a living testament to the catastrophic consequences of disobeying police.

Styles’ story serves as a stark reminder of the risks faced by law enforcement. It’s a danger often minimized by those quick to condemn, those who haven’t stared into the headlights of a speeding vehicle. The officer’s final act, concern for his assailant, underscores the inherent duty to protect, even in the face of mortal danger.

While compassion for Good’s children is paramount – and generous donations are pouring in – it’s crucial to resist the temptation to transform her into a martyr. Her legacy shouldn’t be one of defiance, but a cautionary tale. A tragic example of how poor decisions can irrevocably alter lives.

A family member’s blunt assessment cuts through the noise: “She should have minded her own business.” It’s a harsh truth, but a truth nonetheless. The outcome wouldn’t have been different regardless of ICE’s actions. The responsibility rests solely with the choice to flee, to escalate, to put lives at risk.

The nation grapples with a disturbing trend: a growing disregard for the safety of law enforcement. The murder of National Guard Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, protecting Americans near the White House, remains largely forgotten. Her sacrifice, and the ongoing recovery of her partner, serve as a chilling reminder of the dangers faced by those sworn to protect us.

Ultimately, a nation divided struggles to find common ground. While mourning the loss of life is universal, the impulse to politicize tragedy remains strong. But one truth should transcend political divides: interfering with law enforcement, disobeying lawful commands, can have fatal consequences. It’s a lesson etched in tragedy, a lesson that must be heeded.
