CANADA ERUPTS: Standing With Iran in Fiery Rebellion!

A wave of defiance is echoing across Iran, entering its second week as citizens bravely confront a deeply entrenched regime. Demonstrations erupted initially over economic hardship, but have swiftly transformed into a nationwide call for fundamental change, a desperate plea for freedom against decades of control.

The struggle isn't confined within Iran's borders. Across Canada, in cities like Toronto and Montreal, rallies swelled with voices united in solidarity. Protesters demanded an end to the Islamic regime and, remarkably, voiced support for the return of Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of the former Shah – a symbol of a past many hope to reclaim.

Katayoon Haghzadeh, a participant in the Montreal demonstration, articulated the raw emotion driving these gatherings. She described her presence as a vital act of amplification, a way to speak for those facing unimaginable brutality – torture and potential death – at the hands of the Iranian government simply for daring to dream of a different future.

Thousands of demonstrators gathered in Montreal on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, to march against Iran's regime in a show of solidarity with anti-government protesters inside the country.

A chilling silence descended upon Iran on Thursday as authorities severed internet and telephone access. This deliberate blackout aims to stifle the flow of information, to conceal the extent of the protests and the government’s response from the world’s view. It’s a desperate attempt to control the narrative, but one met with growing international concern.

Despite the information blockade, reports are filtering out, painting a grim picture. The death toll has tragically climbed to at least 72, with over 2,300 individuals reportedly detained. These numbers, though difficult to verify with complete accuracy, underscore the escalating violence and the regime’s ruthless crackdown on dissent.

In Montreal, protesters marching towards the U.S. consulate acknowledged and welcomed American expressions of support. However, a clear message resonated: they are also urgently calling on the Canadian government to take a stronger, more decisive stance in backing the Iranian people’s fight for liberation.

The international community is beginning to respond. Foreign ministers from Australia, Canada, and the European Union issued a joint statement condemning the violence inflicted upon Iranian citizens. This unified voice signals a growing recognition of the gravity of the situation and the need for accountability.

Further adding to the chorus of concern, Prime Minister Mark Carney publicly addressed the reports of violence, arbitrary arrests, and intimidation tactics. He implored the Iranian regime to uphold fundamental freedoms – freedom of expression and the right to peaceful assembly – and to guarantee these rights without fear of retribution.
