ROCK LEGEND UNMASKED! The Masked Singer's Biggest Twist EVER!

The glitter and mystery ofThe Masked Singer UKcontinued this week, delivering another shocking reveal to captivated audiences. Each week, hidden celebrities battle it out, their identities concealed behind elaborate costumes, challenging a panel of judges and viewers alike.

This week’s sports day theme saw Monkey Business, Toastie, Arctic Fox, Conkers, and Yak compete for a place in the next round. The tension mounted as the final two – Monkey Business and Yak – faced off in a dramatic sing-off, each hoping to disguise their voice and fool the panel.

Ultimately, the audience said farewell to Yak, unmasking the iconic punk rocker John Lydon, better known as Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols. The reveal sent ripples of surprise through the studio and beyond, as the legendary musician had successfully kept his identity a secret.

Lydon, sporting a massive bull head, confessed that despite his efforts to disguise his voice, he suspected his distinctive tone would give him away. He playfully admitted to intentionally downplaying his vocal abilities to throw the judges off the scent.

The panel had thrown out a wide range of guesses, from Leigh Francis to Jason Momoa and Harry Hill, but it was Freddie Flintoff who correctly identified the voice behind the mask, quickly supported by Jonathan Ross. Clever clues, like a ham and pineapple pizza referencing his band Public Image Ltd’s song “Hawaii,” had hinted at his musical legacy.

Lydon, a true “Yak of all trades,” has proven himself a multifaceted talent, excelling as a musician, actor, and writer. A particularly amusing clue referenced his appearance in a Country Life butter advert, famously pursued by a herd of cows.

He revealed his motivation for appearing on the show was surprisingly practical: to earn “extra cash” to fund a new album. Lydon described the experience as a chance to showcase a different side of his personality, embracing the role of a “funstar” and “court jester.”

The unmasking of Yak follows previous reveals, including Alex Jones as Disc Jockey and Professor Green as Teabag. Anne Marie was previously revealed as the Goldfish bandleader, and Matt Lucas surprised audiences as the Emperor Penguin.

The Masked Singer UKcontinues its run, promising more surprises and stunning reveals next Saturday.
