Katie Price and her daughter, Princess Andre, recently embarked on a lavish shopping spree at London’s iconic Selfridges, a striking contrast to Price’s well-documented financial difficulties.
Despite facing bankruptcy twice and a judge’s recent warning to curb “extravagant” spending, Price appeared uninhibited as Princess, 18, documented their day on TikTok. The video reveals a whirlwind of luxury and indulgence.
Princess captured her mother enthusiastically browsing jewelry, playfully dancing in changing rooms, and even enjoying a simple sandwich from within the opulent surroundings of Cartier – all while cradling a £1,500 Louis Vuitton handbag.
The pair’s haul was substantial, filling a taxi to capacity with Selfridges bags. “I’m knackered, it’s been a tough day,” Price quipped, a hint of playful exhaustion in her voice as they prepared to leave.
Price remains under an income payments order, requiring her to allocate 40% of her earnings to creditors until 2027. This comes after a judge specifically urged her to rein in spending to avoid further financial strain.
Her financial struggles have been significant, with debts totaling over £761,994 owed to HMRC as recently as February 2024. This followed an earlier bankruptcy in 2019 stemming from unpaid debts.
A recent period saw Price facing an arrest warrant after missing a bankruptcy hearing, ultimately leading to a brief period in custody following a return from a trip to Turkey. The situation drew considerable public attention.
However, both of Price’s bankruptcies have since been discharged, allowing her to move forward. She expressed relief, stating she can now focus solely on positive developments.
Her legal counsel emphasized a lack of understanding regarding the bankruptcy process initially, but highlighted Price’s subsequent full cooperation with the trustee and swift resolution of both cases.
Previously, Price had committed to monthly debt payments of £12,000 for four years. More recently, a portion of her income from platforms like OnlyFans has been directed towards debt repayment.
Despite the financial pressures, Price recently underwent a costly cosmetic procedure – a sixth facelift in Turkey – prompting criticism. She defended her decision, asserting it was necessary to maintain her income and fulfill her financial obligations.
Price maintains she is diligently working to rectify her financial situation amidst ongoing challenges, determined to meet the demands of the bankruptcy orders.
