Minneapolis Purge: Predators ERADICATED—City Fights Back!

Minneapolis remains a focal point of intense debate as federal agents continue a controversial operation targeting individuals with criminal records who are also in the country without legal authorization. Despite mounting protests and direct opposition from local political leaders, the Department of Homeland Security insists its mission is to remove a dangerous element from the city’s streets.

The operation, known as “Metro Surge,” has faced particularly fierce resistance since the death of activist Renee Nicole Good, fueling accusations of overreach and aggressive tactics. Yet, federal authorities maintain their focus is solely on apprehending those with serious criminal histories – individuals they describe as a “scourge” on the community.

Among those recently arrested is Teng Houa Vang, originally from Thailand, with a lengthy record including convictions for domestic assault, terroristic threats, and violating a protection order. He also faces charges ranging from arson to drug possession, painting a picture of escalating criminal behavior.

Another individual taken into custody, Michael Opeoluwa Egbele from Nigeria, has been convicted of fraud and impersonation. Simultaneously, Francisco Salazar-Solorzano, a citizen of El Salvador, is facing charges of assault, domestic violence, and driving under the influence.

The sweep also included Victor Javier Bahena-Sandoval, a Mexican national with a history of domestic violence and multiple convictions for disorderly conduct, alongside Santiago Antunes Mendiola, also from Mexico, charged with battery. Lorenzo Armillas Llaurado, a Spanish national, was arrested for felony drug distribution.

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin delivered a stark statement, asserting the agency’s commitment to arresting “the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens.” She directly criticized Governor Tim Walz and Mayor Jacob Frey, alleging they are actively hindering law enforcement efforts by refusing access to local jails.

According to McLaughlin, this lack of cooperation results in the release of individuals with criminal records back into the community, potentially endangering more residents. She emphasized that federal agents will continue their work despite facing violence and political obstruction.

The ongoing operation underscores a deep divide over immigration enforcement and public safety, with federal authorities determined to pursue their mission regardless of local opposition. The arrests represent a clear message: the agency intends to prioritize the removal of individuals deemed a threat to public safety, even in the face of significant backlash.
