ICE AGENTS UNDER ATTACK: Minneapolis Chaos EXPLODES!

ICE AGENTS UNDER ATTACK: Minneapolis Chaos EXPLODES!

Federal immigration enforcement in Minneapolis has become increasingly dangerous, officials revealed Tuesday, detailing escalating violence directed at agents during a major operation targeting individuals deemed a public safety threat.

Commander Greg Bovino, speaking for Customs and Border Protection, described recent incidents where Border Patrol agents were intentionally rammed by vehicles – once on Tuesday and again on Monday – during Operation Metro Surge. A civilian vehicle was also struck during one of these brazen attacks.

Both suspects involved in the vehicle ramming attempts were quickly apprehended, though details surrounding the arrests remain limited. These incidents underscore a growing hostility towards federal agents as they work to detain individuals with criminal records.

The operation, focused on arresting violent offenders, has been met with fierce resistance, not only from those targeted but also from local political leaders. Officials emphasized the operation is not random, but specifically aimed at removing dangerous individuals from the community.

Bovino directly accused Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey of employing “heated rhetoric” that has fueled a hostile environment for federal law enforcement. He asserted their statements distract from the reality of the crimes being committed by those being arrested.

“Federal agents are arresting murderers, rapists, child predators, cartel-connected criminals,” Bovino stated, highlighting the severity of the offenses committed by those targeted by Operation Metro Surge. Agents have faced physical assaults and property damage since the operation began.

Recent arrests include a registered sex offender convicted of crimes against a child, as well as individuals facing charges of rape, domestic assault, and other violent crimes. These cases, officials say, demonstrate the critical need for continued enforcement efforts.

The situation reached a particularly contentious point recently when a church service was disrupted by protesters objecting to a perceived connection with ICE. The Justice Department has since launched a civil rights investigation into the incident.

Officials maintain that agents operate with the highest ethical standards, suggesting that much of the confrontation stems from agitators and rioters deliberately creating tense situations. They believe these individuals are placing innocent civilians in harm’s way.

Regarding the officer involved in the January 7th shooting of Renee Nicole Good, officials stated the officer is recovering at home, but declined to provide further details about their current status or involvement in the operation.

The escalating violence and political friction surrounding Operation Metro Surge paint a picture of a deeply divided city grappling with complex issues of immigration and public safety.
