Invitations have extended to dozens of nations, spanning continents and political alignments. Belarus, China, Ukraine, India, Canada, Argentina, Jordan, Egypt, Hungary, and Vietnam are among those asked to participate, demonstrating a broad outreach effort.
The European Union’s executive arm has acknowledged receiving an invitation, but has yet to issue a response. This hesitation reflects a cautious approach from some international bodies as they assess the board’s implications.
Notably, Russian President Vladimir Putin also received an invitation, prompting a careful review by the Kremlin. Officials indicated a need for clarification on the board’s specifics before committing to involvement.
France, however, has signaled it will not join “at this stage,” indicating a divergence in perspectives among key global players. This highlights the delicate balance Trump is attempting to navigate in assembling the board.
President Trump will chair the Board of Peace, surrounded by a team of influential figures. This includes Jared Kushner, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff, and billionaire Marc Rowan, signifying a blend of political and business expertise.
