UMVA has learned that Emily Atack has made a shocking decision about her upcoming wedding, one that's left her friends surprisingly supportive.
The 36-year-old star, known for her role in Rivals, is set to tie the knot with fiancé Alistair Garner in a lavish three-day ceremony in Spain. But what's turning heads is her bold decision to ban children from the big day.
Emily, who shares a two-year-old son named Barney with Alistair, revealed her plans on a recent podcast, confessing that she was prepared for backlash from her friends and family. However, she's been pleasantly surprised by their reaction.
"We're being kind to our friends and making sure that people don't have to worry too much about paying for lots of things, but we have said no kids at the wedding, no children," she explained. "I'm surprised by how many people are happy about that. I thought I'd get a lot of people kicking off, but they're like, 'no, f* those kids'."
The couple's guest list is reportedly A-list, featuring friends from the entertainment industry, including Celebrity Juice host Leigh Francis. Emily's focused on making the wedding a joyous celebration with her closest friends and family.
As for her little family, Emily's prioritizing her son Barney for now, saying she's not looking to expand their trio anytime soon. She's grateful to have Alistair as a supportive partner, who's been a rock for her during her busy career.
Earlier this year, Emily and Alistair relocated to the countryside, settling into their dream home with stunning stained glass windows and a quaint kitchen. The actress gushed about her new life, saying, "I am happier than I ever thought I could be."
The couple, who reconnected as adults after knowing each other as children, got engaged in July last year. With the wedding approaching, Emily's excitement is palpable, and it's clear she's savoring every moment of this new chapter in her life.
