TRUMP IGNITES FIRESTORM: Minneapolis Shooting Descends Into Chaos!

The death of 37-year-old Alex Pretti in Minneapolis ignited a firestorm of conflicting accounts, painting drastically different portraits of the man and the moments leading to his fatal shooting.

The Trump administration swiftly characterized Pretti as violently resisting arrest, a narrative sharply contested by his family who remembered him as a deeply compassionate individual. He wasn’t just a protester; he was a dedicated ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital, committed to caring for veterans.

Pretti became the second anti-ICE demonstrator to be killed in Minneapolis within the month, raising serious questions about the escalating tensions and use of force. Homeland Security officials claimed he was armed and posed an immediate threat, forcing an ICE agent to fire in self-defense.

However, available footage tells a different story. It depicts an ICE agent disarming Pretti just moments before the shooting, revealing he initially intervened to help another protester who had been forcibly pushed by law enforcement.

A federal judge swiftly intervened, issuing an order to prevent the Trump administration from destroying or altering any evidence related to the shooting. This action followed a lawsuit filed by Hennepin County and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, seeking to preserve crucial information.

The lawsuit specifically named multiple federal agencies – including DHS, ICE, and CBP – and Attorney General Pam Bondi, demanding they refrain from tampering with evidence collected from the scene or currently in their possession. State authorities had previously been denied access to this evidence.

Judge Eric Tostrud’s temporary injunction underscored the urgency of the situation, ensuring a thorough and unbiased investigation could proceed. A hearing to further address the order was scheduled for the following day.

Pretti’s parents, Michael and Susan Pretti, expressed their profound grief and outrage, vehemently denouncing the administration’s portrayal of their son as “sickening lies.” They emphasized his inherent kindness and dedication to others.

They pointed to the footage, arguing it clearly showed Alex unarmed, holding only his phone in one hand and raising the other in a defensive gesture while attempting to protect a fellow protester who had been knocked down. They accused ICE agents of being “murdering and cowardly thugs.”

In stark contrast, President Trump highlighted that Pretti was armed and carrying extra ammunition. White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller went even further, labeling him a “would-be assassin” and a “domestic terrorist” who allegedly attempted to murder federal law enforcement.

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison demanded a “full, impartial, and transparent investigation” into the shooting, expressing his own “intense grief and anger” over Pretti’s death. He also condemned the presence of ICE in Minnesota as an “illegal and unconstitutional occupation.”

The conflicting narratives and legal battles surrounding Alex Pretti’s death underscored a deeply fractured landscape, leaving questions of accountability and justice hanging in the balance.
