ACEN'S MEGA-DEAL: Don't Miss Out!

ACEN'S MEGA-DEAL: Don't Miss Out!

A significant capital infusion for ACEN CORP. remains a strong possibility, with plans for a P30-billion stock rights offering potentially moving forward in the latter half of the year. The energy platform of the Ayala group is carefully evaluating its investment strategy before finalizing the details.

According to President and CEO Eric T. Francia, a decision regarding capital raising is anticipated by the end of the second quarter. While the offering was previously put on hold, it hasn’t been abandoned – merely reassessed in light of evolving project timelines.

Originally slated for September of the previous year at a floor price of P2.30 per share, the offering was delayed due to adjustments in the company’s capital expenditure schedule across Southeast Asia. This strategic pause allowed ACEN to synchronize funding with the actual deployment of its ambitious projects.

The primary purpose of the stock rights offering is to fuel substantial growth. Proceeds will be directly allocated to funding large-scale energy initiatives, bolstering the company’s expanding portfolio.

A stock rights offering provides existing shareholders with the exclusive opportunity to increase their ownership stake, typically at a favorable price. This mechanism allows ACEN to tap into its current investor base for crucial capital.

Looking ahead to 2026, ACEN has already designated over P80 billion for investment in major energy projects. This demonstrates a firm commitment to expansion and innovation within the renewable energy sector.

Currently, ACEN boasts a substantial operating capacity of 4.3 gigawatts of renewable energy, spread across a diverse geographical footprint. This includes significant projects in the Philippines, Australia, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Laos, and the United States.

Recent trading saw ACEN shares experience a slight dip, closing at P2.94 apiece on Tuesday. However, this minor fluctuation doesn’t overshadow the company’s long-term growth prospects and strategic financial planning.
