For a long time, I’ve been focused on the challenges at our border and the strain on ICE. My approach isn’t about broad strokes; it’s about strategic action. Why send agents into hostile territory when cooperation exists elsewhere?
Imagine focusing ICE efforts on areas that welcome them – red states and cities eager to assist. This allows for successful operations, building momentum and a proven model before confronting intense resistance. It’s about “practicing until perfect” and demonstrating success.
Beyond tactics, perception matters. A simple rebranding of ICE – to something like “N.I.C.E.” – could shift public narrative. Coupled with decisive action against agitators, and a willingness to hold those who obstruct justice accountable, a clear message would be sent.
Cutting off support for those here illegally is crucial. Eliminate welfare benefits, impose a 100% tax on remittances sent out of the country, and defund sanctuary cities. Remove the incentives that fuel the crisis.
Enforcing eVerify is another key step. Businesses that knowingly hire those without legal authorization should face serious consequences – fines and even arrests. Remove the economic lifeline, and self-deportation becomes a natural outcome.
A new strategy involves creating designated protest zones, secured by the National Guard, keeping agitators separate from ICE operations. Protecting agents from intimidation and obstruction is paramount. Never again should they be surrounded and harassed while performing their duties.
But the responsibility doesn’t end with enforcement. Those politicians actively aiding and abetting illegal activity – providing warnings, coordinating resistance – must be held accountable through indictment and prosecution. The root of the problem lies at the top.
To expose this collusion, a thorough investigation is needed. Unleash IRS forensic audits on politicians and judges obstructing justice, tracing financial connections to foreign entities – Mexico, China, drug cartels – that might be funding the resistance.
However, winning the battle for public opinion is just as vital. Democrats excel at emotional storytelling, leveraging Hollywood and media to sway hearts and minds. We must fight fire with fire.
The answer lies in amplifying the voices of victims. Launch a powerful, emotionally resonant ad campaign featuring the families of those whose lives have been shattered by crimes committed by those here illegally – murders, rapes, drug overdoses.
These aren’t abstract statistics; they are real people with devastating stories. Match each victim with the perpetrator apprehended by ICE, offering a direct connection between tragedy and justice. Let their pain and gratitude be heard.
For every story used to demonize enforcement, we must present a counter-narrative of loss and resilience. Thousands of families are suffering in silence, and their voices deserve to be amplified. Flood the airwaves with their stories, 24/7.
This isn’t just about policy; it’s about empathy and truth. By turning the tide in the PR war, we can reshape the narrative and secure a future where justice prevails and communities are safe.
