This particular undertaking, designated as contract package 105, involves not only the stations themselves but also a short, yet vital, tunnel connecting them. While originally slated for completion in 2029, the project encountered setbacks due to challenges in securing the necessary land rights, pushing the timeline forward.
DMCI isn’t navigating this complex project alone. They are collaborating with Japanese construction specialists, Nishimatsu Construction Co. Ltd., building on a successful partnership already established on another section of the subway – the Quezon Avenue and East Avenue stations. Beyond the current project, DMCI is eagerly awaiting a decision on another subway contract, potentially receiving the award as early as next month.
