DUI NIGHTMARE: Driver Found SLEEPING in POLICE PARKING LOT!

The irony wasn't lost on Kingston Police. A driver seeking to report a collision found themselves in a far more serious predicament – arrested for impaired operation, and all within the shadow of the very station they visited.

It began on a Monday evening around 5 p.m. The individual had driven to the Collision Reporting Centre, located conveniently inside the police station’s lobby, to file a report about an earlier incident.

After speaking with a representative and receiving paperwork, a strange scene unfolded. Loud music began to emanate from the vehicle, followed by an unsettling silence – the driver had fallen asleep, slumped over the steering wheel.

Patrol officers were immediately dispatched to investigate. The scent of alcohol was unmistakable, and a quick glance inside the car revealed two open containers. The situation escalated rapidly.

Back inside the station, two breathalyzer tests confirmed the officers’ suspicions. The results were stark: the driver’s blood alcohol concentration was more than double the legal limit.

The 35-year-old Kingston resident now faces charges of impaired operation and exceeding the legal blood alcohol concentration. Released with a pending court date, their initial visit to report an accident resulted in a far graver legal consequence.
