COPILOT'S EPIC FAIL: Reminders BROKEN?!

COPILOT'S EPIC FAIL: Reminders BROKEN?!

A curious claim is circulating about Copilot – the AI assistant now boasts the ability to set reminders. Or at least, it *claims* to. Initial reports suggest a seamless experience, pushing notifications to your phone when a task is due, but the reality appears… less reliable.

The idea is simple: ask Copilot to remind you of something at a specific time, and it should deliver. This echoes functionality once offered by Cortana in older versions of Windows, which even experimented with location-based reminders – prompting you for milk when you were near the grocery store.

Copilot’s implementation, however, feels like a step back in time, lacking the sophistication of its predecessor. While it confidently *confirms* it’s setting the reminder, the actual delivery is proving inconsistent, to say the least.

Despite multiple attempts, reminders failed to materialize on both my phone and computer. No buzz, no notification – just silence. The question isn’t whether this feature *should* work, but whether it actually *does*.

When pressed for an explanation, Copilot offered a cascade of potential issues, a digital shrug masking a clear failure. It’s a frustrating experience, especially considering similar functionality was commonplace on devices years ago.

The inability to reliably perform a basic task like setting a reminder raises a larger concern. If Copilot promises something it can’t deliver, it erodes trust and fuels skepticism about its overall utility. Current usage figures suggest a cautious adoption rate, hovering around just one percent.

It’s a stark contrast to the early days of Cortana, which, despite its flaws, at least consistently answered simple math problems. Copilot, thankfully, can handle “2+2,” but can it handle a simple reminder? The answer, for now, remains uncertain.
