APPLE'S NEXT CHIP LEAKED: Prepare for INSANITY.

APPLE'S NEXT CHIP LEAKED: Prepare for INSANITY.

The anticipation has been building for weeks. Fans and professionals alike have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the next generation MacBook Pro, powered by the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. Now, with the release candidates for the latest operating system appearing, the wait may finally be nearing its end – potentially as soon as next week.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there. Hidden within the code of the new operating system release lies a tantalizing clue about Apple’s future plans. References have surfaced hinting at chips beyond the expected M5 Pro and M5 Max, specifically the long-awaited M5 Ultra.

The discovery, revealed through meticulous code analysis, doesn’t explicitly name the chips. Instead, it utilizes internal model and platform codes – T6051 and T6052, linked to H17C and H17D – that strongly correlate with the M5 Max and M5 Ultra families. The coding system suggests a clear progression from the current M5 generation (designated “H17G”).

This revelation is particularly intriguing given Apple’s recent decision to bypass an M4 Ultra chip. When updating the Mac Studio earlier this year, Apple opted for the M3 Ultra, a previous generation chip, despite its impressive performance. The company offered no public explanation for this unusual move, leaving many to speculate about their long-term strategy.

The question then became: would the next “Ultra” chip be an M4 or leapfrog to an M5? The code suggests the answer is definitively the latter. However, the absence of a reference to an M5 Pro chip within the code introduces a layer of uncertainty.

Several possibilities exist. Apple might simply add the M5 Pro reference in a later software release. Alternatively, the company could be altering its naming conventions, with the “D” code potentially representing the M5 Pro. Or, perhaps most dramatically, Apple is preparing to introduce an M5 Ultra MacBook Pro – a configuration never before seen.

For now, the mystery remains. But one thing is clear: Apple is actively testing a Mac powered by the M5 Ultra, signaling a significant leap in performance and capabilities. The coming weeks promise to unveil the full extent of Apple’s plans and deliver a new era of power to its professional users.
