TRUMP'S COMMISSION EXPLODES: Antisemitism Scandal Forces Ouster!

TRUMP'S COMMISSION EXPLODES: Antisemitism Scandal Forces Ouster!

A swift and unexpected removal shook President Trump’s Religious Liberty Commission this week, as Carrie Prejean Boller, a Catholic activist, was ousted following a contentious hearing on antisemitism.

The decision came from Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, chairman of the commission, who accused Boller of attempting to exploit the hearing to advance a “political agenda.” Her behavior during the proceedings was described as combative, particularly in her vocal defense of commentator Candace Owens.

Patrick’s statement was direct: Boller’s actions constituted a clear attempt to “hijack” the hearing, an action he deemed unacceptable for any commission member. He asserted the focus was to be on antisemitism within America, not to debate other geopolitical issues.

Before her dismissal, Boller staunchly refused calls for her resignation, taking to social media to express unwavering convictions. Her posts revealed a deep-seated opposition to what she perceived as unquestioning support for Israel.

“I will never bend the knee to the state of Israel. Ever,” she declared, framing the issue as a moral one for Christians. Boller argued that some interpretations of faith had been manipulated to justify violence and suffering, a direct contradiction of Christian principles.

The hearing itself became a flashpoint when Boller abruptly shifted the conversation from antisemitism to the conflict in Gaza. She directly challenged a witness, Shabbos Kestenbaum, to condemn Israel’s actions, prompting a swift intervention from Chairman Patrick to curtail the line of questioning.

Kestenbaum, a former Harvard student who had testified about his experiences with antisemitism, was prepared to address Boller’s inquiry, but Patrick deemed the topic inappropriate for that particular forum. He stated it required a separate discussion at another time.

Candace Owens immediately rallied to Boller’s defense, characterizing the commission’s actions as an attempt to suppress Christian faith with a “performative Zionist” message. She accused the commission of hostility towards Catholics who challenge established narratives.

Owens’ response was scathing, alleging that “Zionists” oppose Catholics because of their refusal to accept what she termed “revisionist history” and their opposition to violence. She further claimed the conflict involved “occult Baal worshipers.”

Concluding her statement, Owens thanked Patrick for his decision, predicting it would fuel a “Christian enlightenment” within the country. The fallout from Boller’s removal continues to reverberate, highlighting deep divisions within the debate surrounding religious liberty and geopolitical allegiances.
