The formal pledge is scheduled to occur on February 19th, 2026, at the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace in Washington, D.C. This gathering will not only detail the financial commitment but also outline the dedication of personnel to an International Stabilization Force and local police, intended to bolster security for Gazan civilians.
A critical condition attached to this aid is the complete and immediate demilitarization of Hamas. The former president emphasized this requirement as non-negotiable, framing it as essential for lasting peace and stability within Gaza.
The Board of Peace, according to the announcement, aims to be a historically significant international body. The former president expressed his honor in chairing the organization, believing it holds “unlimited potential” for global impact.
The initiative reportedly stems from a plan released last October, designed to permanently resolve the conflict in Gaza. This plan was unanimously adopted by the United Nations Security Council, a remarkable achievement that paved the way for rapid humanitarian aid delivery and the release of all hostages – both living and deceased.
The Board of Peace formally launched its operations last month in Davos, Switzerland, with the attendance of two dozen founding members. The event served as a celebration of the organization’s formation and a presentation of its ambitious vision, extending beyond Gaza to encompass the pursuit of “world peace.”
