At the University of the Philippines, a special performance on February 21st honors National Artists Benedicto Cabrera, Resil Mojares, and Agnes Locsin. “Tanghal Tertulia” unites UP’s talented dance, music, and performance groups – including the Dance Company, Rondalla, and Filipiniana Dance Group – in a vibrant celebration of Filipino artistry and heritage.

A compelling exhibition, “Man Made,” showcases the collaborative spirit of the 2025 Metrobank Art & Design Excellence awardees. A beacon of empowerment has risen in Basilan with the opening of the Sama-Bajau Weaving and Cultural Center. This community space provides Sama-Bajau women weavers with the resources and opportunities to preserve their cultural heritage and build sustainable livelihoods.

In a significant step towards cultural exchange, Dr. José Rizal’s “Noli Me Tangere” is set to be translated into Modern Standard Arabic. This project, a collaboration between Philippine cultural and historical organizations and the Philippine Embassy in Baghdad, will make this foundational work of Philippine literature accessible to a wider audience.
