The case involves the brutal stabbing of 16-year-old track and football star Austin Metcalf, who was killed by Karmelo Anthony during a championship track meet at Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco, Texas, on April 2, 2025.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Austin Metcalf died in the arms of his twin brother, Hunter Metcalf, after being allegedly fatally stabbed by Karmelo Anthony in an unprovoked attack. The brutal killing has sparked widespread outrage, and Karmelo Anthony was subsequently charged with first-degree murder, facing a potential sentence of between 5 and 99 years in prison.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that numerous eyewitnesses who testified during the trial claimed Karmelo Anthony instigated the fight and stabbed Austin Metcalf in a deliberate and vicious attack.
