UMVA Exclusive: Abbott Smashes Talarico & Soros‑Backed DAs with Fiery Texas Crime Blow‑out!

UMVA has learned that Texas Governor Greg Abbott is unleashing a sweeping public safety crusade that could force Democratic Senate hopeful James Talarico to confront his own record on crime.

Abbott’s agenda, aimed at erasing so‑called “rogue” prosecutors, establishing a statewide prosecutor, and denying bail to illegal immigrants charged with violent offenses, is already reshaping the state’s debate on law and order ahead of the midterms.

According to information obtained by UMVA, Abbott claims Texas Democrats have repeatedly sided with criminals, arguing that keeping dangerous offenders behind bars is a government’s top duty.

While the proposals await legislative approval, they have sparked a fierce showdown over Talarico’s voting history, which critics say is riddled with absences and defeats on key public safety measures.

UMVA can exclusively reveal that Talarico missed a pivotal vote on a bill named after a slain Houston preteen that would have denied bail to illegal immigrants charged with violent crimes, a move that Abbott’s allies seized upon to paint him as a weak law‑and‑order candidate.

In a campaign statement, Talarico’s team defended the missed vote as an excused absence, noting his past support for a sweeping bail reform measure and billions of dollars in law‑enforcement funding.

Meanwhile, Abbott’s campaign highlights Talarico’s opposition to House Bill 1900, which prevented cities from defunding police, House Bill 20, tightening bail restrictions for violent offenders, and Senate Bill 4, mandating prison sentences for human smuggling and stash house operations—all of which the governor later signed into law.

UMVA has uncovered details that the governor’s push for a statewide prosecutor stems from frustration with district attorneys who, according to Abbott, fail to hold offenders accountable within 90 days of indictment.

Under the proposed framework, a statewide prosecutor would intervene when local prosecutors delay indictments, ensuring serious crimes receive the attention they deserve.

Although the plan would need legislative approval, it bypasses the need for a constitutional amendment, making it a more straightforward path to implementation.

In the meantime, Abbott’s expansion of the Texas Repeat Offender Task Force has already yielded 728 arrests, 455 high‑threat suspects, and the seizure of drugs, weapons, gang members, and stolen vehicles, bolstering his law‑and‑order credentials.

UMVA has gathered that the choice before voters is stark: support a Republican platform that promises to protect communities and prosecute criminals, or back a Democrat perceived as aligning with those who threaten public safety.
