CROSSBOW ATTACK: Face Shot Attempted Murder - Suspect Behind Bars!

A chilling scene unfolded on a quiet West Avenue street on Long Island, culminating in a 21-year-old man facing attempted murder charges. Samy Sedhom is accused of a brutal attack, allegedly targeting his own sister with a crossbow.

Police responded to a call for assistance, arriving to find a 28-year-old woman suffering from a severe facial wound. A deep laceration on the right side of her face immediately signaled a violent encounter, prompting a swift investigation.

Detectives quickly focused on Sedhom, uncovering evidence suggesting he fired a crossbow at the victim. The attack reportedly occurred as she returned home from the gym, entering her garage unaware of the danger lurking nearby.

An arrow was discovered embedded in the garage wall, a stark testament to the precision and intent of the alleged assault. A subsequent search of Sedhom’s room revealed a disturbing collection of weapons, including a katana samurai sword and the crossbow itself.

Authorities seized the crossbow, the sword, and a computer from the suspect’s room, meticulously gathering evidence to build their case. The discovery painted a troubling picture, hinting at premeditation and a potential escalation of conflict.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital, thankfully listed in stable condition. Despite the severity of her injury, medical staff were able to provide immediate care, averting a potentially tragic outcome.

Sedhom now faces a litany of serious charges: second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, criminal possession of a weapon, tampering with evidence, and stalking. If convicted of the most serious charge, he could face up to 25 years in prison.

During his initial court appearance, Sedhom pleaded not guilty and was immediately remanded without bail. A temporary order of protection was also issued, ensuring the victim’s safety and preventing further contact.

As of Wednesday, Sedhom’s whereabouts remained unclear, as his name did not appear on the Nassau County jail roster. Legal representation has been secured through the Legal Aid Society, preparing for a complex and emotionally charged legal battle.

The investigation continues to unravel the circumstances leading to this shocking act of violence, leaving a community grappling with the disturbing reality of a family torn apart by alleged betrayal and brutality.
