York Regional Police are investigating a disturbing case involving a local realtor, Farzad Farhoodinejad, 44, who has been charged with sexual assault and an indecent act. The charges stem from an incident where the suspect allegedly assaulted a woman who was responding to a rental listing.
The victim initially contacted the realtor through a social media platform, expressing interest in a property. After arranging to view the listing, a meeting was ultimately held at the victim’s home, a decision made when an in-person visit to the property proved impossible. It was during this meeting that the alleged assault occurred.
Police report the victim did not sustain any physical injuries, but the emotional impact of the incident is undoubtedly significant. Investigators believe there may be other victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
