Brass Bed’s journey began far north, near Mahone Bay in Nova Scotia, back in October 2025. Researchers meticulously attached the tracking device, initiating a long-term study of these magnificent predators and their migratory patterns.

And then there’s Contender, the largest male great white ever recorded in the Atlantic, a colossal fourteen-foot, 1,700-pound behemoth who returned to Florida waters earlier this year. His presence underscores the region’s importance as a critical habitat.
