The deception was initially flagged by a vigilant canine unit, whose alert prompted a more thorough examination. Officers painstakingly disassembled the tile pallets, revealing hundreds of packages containing a white powder. The sheer volume was staggering: 200 packages, totaling 908.30 pounds of the dangerous drug.

More recently, a shipment of chayote squash – a vegetable native to Mexico – was found to be concealing over 1,000 pounds of cocaine, with a potential street value reaching $8.9 million. Each case demonstrates a calculated risk, and a desperate attempt to bypass security measures.
