AI-FUELLED RAMPAGE: Shooter's ChatGPT Link EXPOSED!

AI-FUELLED RAMPAGE: Shooter's ChatGPT Link EXPOSED!

The investigation into the tragic shooting in Tumbler Ridge has taken a startling turn. Authorities have confirmed that OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, proactively contacted the RCMP following the devastating events of last week.

Reports indicate OpenAI internally debated whether to warn Canadian authorities about concerning activity within the ChatGPT account of Jesse Van Rootselaar, the 18-year-old shooter. An employee raised alarms, but ultimately, the activity didn’t reach the threshold considered an immediate threat of serious harm.

Van Rootselaar’s actions on February 10th resulted in the deaths of eight individuals, including young students at their school, before he died by suicide. The community remains gripped by grief and a desperate search for understanding.

Investigators are meticulously analyzing all available evidence, both digital and physical, to piece together the events leading up to the shooting and uncover a potential motive. This includes a comprehensive review of online activity and social media presence.

While OpenAI didn’t issue a warning prior to the tragedy, they did ban Van Rootselaar’s account in June of the previous year after it was flagged for promoting violent content. This action, however, came after the concerning interactions had already occurred.

With the shooter unable to provide answers, the focus has shifted to examining the circumstances surrounding his life and identifying any contributing factors. The investigation is a painstaking process, demanding thoroughness and attention to detail.

Four years before the shooting, Van Rootselaar’s mother, Jennifer Strang – also a victim of the attack – publicly promoted her son’s YouTube channel on Facebook, highlighting his content focused on hunting, self-reliance, and firearms.

A TikTok account linked to Strang’s profile repeatedly shared videos related to Audrey Hale, the perpetrator of the 2023 Nashville school shooting. This connection is now under intense scrutiny by investigators.

The victims of the Tumbler Ridge tragedy include five young students – Abel Mwansa, Zoey Benoit, Kylie Smith, Ezekiel Schofield, and Ticaria Lampert – all aged 12, along with 13-year-old Ticaria Lampert, educator Shannda Aviugana-Durand, 39, and Emmett Jacobs, 11.

Van Rootselaar also fatally shot his stepbrother and mother, Jennifer Strang, at their home before carrying out the attack at the school, utilizing two firearms. The scale of the loss has left the community reeling.

The Premier has described the emerging details as deeply unsettling and has urged anyone with information related to the incident to come forward and assist the ongoing investigation. Every piece of information, no matter how small, could prove crucial.
