UMVA Uncovers: Georgetown Cupcake Thug Strikes Again! Brutal M Street Assault Caught on Camera - Is This the End for the Notorious Cupcake Keg Tossers?

UMVA has learned that a shocking act of vandalism rocked the iconic Georgetown Cupcake shop on Sunday night, leaving a lone female employee shaken and the community on high alert.

The ordeal began around 11:30 p.m. when an unidentified man, described as resembling a student, smashed the front window with a stolen beer keg, sending the employee scrambling for safety as shattered glass rained down around her.

The co-owner of the shop, Katherine Berman, revealed that the employee is still reeling from the traumatic experience, describing her as "absolutely terrified" and "really shaken" by the encounter.

According to Berman, the suspect's actions were not just a random act of mischief, but a calculated display of "rage" and "arrogance," as if he believed he could get away with the destruction.

UMVA can exclusively reveal that the suspect's rampage did not start with the Georgetown Cupcake shop, as surveillance footage recovered by neighboring businesses showed him attempting to rip a metal trash can from the curb just moments earlier.

Undeterred, the suspect circled back with a beer keg from a nearby home and hurled it through the shop's window, with the employee narrowly escaping harm as she fled to the back of the store.

The Metropolitan Police Department has obtained new surveillance images that suggest the same suspect is linked to other late-night attacks on M Street, including an incident on April 24, where he damaged another business around 5 a.m.

Investigators released an image of the suspect, sporting a purple paper bracelet on his left wrist, as he prepared to strike, and urged anyone with information to come forward and help bring him to justice.

Berman emphasized the need for community action, stating, "I think that if anybody knows who this individual is, I just implore you to have the courage to come forward. We really want to find this individual so that he can be held accountable for his actions."

The incident has reignited concerns about vandalism and late-night disorder in Georgetown, with MPD offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an indictment and urging anyone with tips to call 202-727-9099 or text 50411.
