A bizarre scene unfolded at SickKids Hospital in Toronto on Monday afternoon when a man inexplicably commandeered a snow removal vehicle.
Just after noon, at 12:21 p.m. to be exact, the vehicle was driven directly into the hospital’s ambulance bay doors, causing a startling impact.
Thankfully, despite the dramatic nature of the incident at the University Ave. and Gerrard St. W. location, no injuries were reported to anyone inside or around the hospital.
Police swiftly responded to the scene and apprehended the male driver, taking him into custody to determine the reasons behind his actions.
Paramedics on site immediately began assessing the driver, providing medical attention as needed following the unusual event.
Hospital officials confirmed that the incident, though disruptive, did not impede ongoing operations or patient care within SickKids.
