SHOCKWAVE: Power Grab in DC – Trump Just Made a HUGE Move!

SHOCKWAVE: Power Grab in DC – Trump Just Made a HUGE Move!

A power shift is brewing in Oklahoma’s Senate race. With Senator Markwayne Mullin poised to potentially lead the Department of Homeland Security, a prominent figure from within the House GOP is stepping forward to vie for his seat.

Kevin Hern, Chairman of the House GOP Policy Committee, has officially launched his campaign, positioning himself as a staunch ally of former President Trump. His announcement video doesn’t mince words, framing the election as a battle against a “radical left” and those he labels “RINO Republicans.”

Hern’s personal story is one of remarkable ascent. He experienced a childhood marked by poverty, lacking basic amenities like indoor plumbing well into his teenage years. This experience fueled a drive that led to considerable success as a McDonald’s franchisee before entering the world of politics in 2018.

The race is already gaining momentum as Hern secures endorsements from several key senators – Jim Banks, Bill Hagerty, Rick Scott, and Ron Johnson – signaling a strong base of support within the Republican party. He’s also brought on Tony Fabrizio, a pollster closely aligned with President Trump, as a senior advisor.

Oklahoma’s governor, Kevin Stitt, faces a unique challenge in filling the potential vacancy. State law dictates that any appointee must pledge not to run in the upcoming November election, creating an unusual dynamic for the interim role.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune is focused on a swift resolution to the vacancy, meeting with Governor Stitt to discuss potential appointments. While Thune remains neutral regarding a long-term replacement, the ultimate decision rests with Oklahoma voters.

The upcoming GOP primary is expected to be fiercely contested. Representative Stephanie Bice has indicated she is considering a run, potentially setting the stage for a competitive battle for the nomination in this reliably Republican state.

The timing of Mullin’s confirmation hearing for DHS is crucial, with a deadline set by former President Trump for a smooth transition by March 31st. While passage through the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee is anticipated, a full Senate vote could present unforeseen challenges.

Hern’s campaign is built on a platform of border security, law enforcement support, and economic affordability. He presents himself as a consistent champion of Trump’s “America First” agenda, promising to be a loyal advocate in the Senate.
