A decade-long effort to link former President Donald Trump to the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein has suffered a significant blow. Testimony from a key figure within Epstein’s financial network has delivered a stark rebuttal to persistent allegations.
Richard Kahn, the longtime accountant and co-executor of Epstein’s estate, recently appeared before the House Oversight Committee. He faced intense questioning regarding the intricate financial dealings of the convicted sex offender and the prominent individuals connected to his empire.
Chairman James Comer revealed a crucial detail from Kahn’s testimony: the accountant reported seeing no financial transactions involving President Trump or any member of his family. This revelation adds another layer to the growing evidence challenging the narrative pushed by some for years.
Kahn is now the fifth high-profile witness to testify under oath that Trump and his family had no involvement in Epstein’s financial activities. This mounting evidence directly contradicts claims repeatedly circulated in certain media outlets and political circles.
During the closed-door deposition, Kahn identified five major clients who paid Epstein substantial sums for his financial services. These individuals represent the upper echelon of wealth and power, including Les Wexner, former CEO of L Brands; Leon Black, co-founder of Apollo Global Management; Glenn Dubin, a hedge fund manager; Steven Sinofsky, a former Microsoft executive; and the Rothschild family, a global banking dynasty.
Kahn described Epstein’s primary role as a tax advisor and financial planner for an exceptionally wealthy clientele. This explanation sheds light on how Epstein amassed considerable wealth, despite ongoing scrutiny of his business practices.
Comer emphasized the significance of Kahn’s testimony, particularly in response to repeated inquiries about Trump’s potential involvement. The Chairman stated that the focus of the investigation remains on uncovering the truth about Epstein’s operations and any potential government failures related to the case.
The committee is determined to understand the full scope of Epstein’s activities, including whether he acted as an agent for any government entities and if a cover-up occurred. Preventing similar abuses in the future is also a key objective.
This latest development follows years of attempts to connect Trump to Epstein, despite existing evidence to the contrary. Records indicate Trump took decisive action against Epstein, banning him from Mar-a-Lago after reports of inappropriate behavior towards a minor.
Further evidence, revealed in FBI records from a 2019 interview with a former Palm Beach Police Chief, shows Trump personally contacted law enforcement in 2006, expressing relief at Epstein’s apprehension and stating that his misconduct was widely known.
