US AIR FORCE DOWNED IN IRAQ: COLLISION FROM HELL!

A US Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker vanished over Iraq, triggering a frantic search for its crew. The incident, occurring during Operation Epic Fury, involved two aircraft and unfolded in what was described as friendly airspace.

Initial reports suggested a possible mid-air collision, but US Central Command swiftly dismissed claims of hostile or friendly fire as the cause. The Islamic Resistance in Iraq asserted responsibility, stating they downed the plane “in defence of our country’s sovereignty.”

The downed KC-135 carried at least five crew members, their fate currently unknown as rescue efforts continue. Fortunately, the second KC-135 involved in the incident managed a safe landing.

This loss marks the fourth publicly acknowledged US military aircraft incident linked to operations against Iran. Just last week, three American F-15E Strike Eagles were mistakenly shot down by Kuwaiti forces during a training exercise.

All six crew members from the Strike Eagles ejected safely and are reported to be in stable condition. This incident, while thankfully without fatalities, underscores the heightened tensions and risks inherent in the region.

The escalating conflict has already claimed the lives of seven American service members and injured approximately 140, including eight with severe injuries. The Pentagon released these sobering figures earlier this week.

Six of those fallen soldiers were killed when an Iranian drone struck an operations center at a civilian port in Kuwait. They were Army Reserve personnel vital to the logistical support of troops, ensuring a steady flow of supplies.

Their deaths occurred just one day after the US and Israel initiated military action against Iran on February 28th. Iran has responded with a barrage of missiles and drones targeting Israel and Gulf Arab states housing US forces.

The seventh American service member succumbed to wounds sustained during a March 1st attack on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. The mounting casualties paint a grim picture of the conflict’s cost.

President Donald Trump and Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth have both warned that further American lives will likely be lost before the conflict reaches its conclusion. Their statements reflect the gravity of the situation and the potential for prolonged engagement.

Trump recently participated in dignified transfer ceremonies at Dover Air Force Base, honoring the remains of the first six soldiers returned to the United States. Vice President JD Vance and Hegseth also paid their respects during the arrival of the seventh flag-draped transfer case.
