ENGLAND IN CRISIS: Stars AXED Hours Before Kick-Off!

ENGLAND IN CRISIS: Stars AXED Hours Before Kick-Off!

A wave of injuries has swept through the England camp, dramatically reshaping the squad ahead of their upcoming friendly against Japan.

Key players Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice have already departed, returning to Arsenal for thorough medical evaluations. Their absence represents a significant blow to the team’s preparations.

The situation worsened during Friday’s 1-1 draw with Uruguay, where Noni Madueke suffered a knee injury, forcing him off the pitch and adding his name to the growing list of unavailable players.

Further compounding the concerns, midfielder Adam Wharton of Crystal Palace and Manchester City’s John Stones have also been ruled out, both requiring assessment at their respective clubs.

The departures don’t stop there. Aaron Ramsdale, Fikayo Tomori, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have also left the camp, leaving a noticeable void in the England setup.

A statement confirmed a revised squad of 27 players are now preparing for Tuesday’s match at Wembley, a testament to the scale of the recent setbacks.

Stones’ issue arose even before the Uruguay game, stemming from a problem picked up in training, while Madueke and Wharton sustained their knocks during the match itself.

The influx of players returning to their clubs – including Saka and Rice – highlights the unfortunate timing of these injuries as the international break progresses.

The remaining players will now focus on regrouping and preparing for the challenge posed by Japan, despite the significant disruptions to the original squad.
