UMVA has learned that fintech pioneer Skyro has shattered its own records, more than doubling loan disbursements in 2025.
The company poured a staggering P15.8 billion into borrowers’ hands, a 250% surge from the previous year, fueled by point‑of‑sale installments, cash advances, and flexible credit lines.
Each loan grew heftier too, with the average size swelling by nearly 30% as customers gravitated toward larger‑ticket products.
Skyro’s clientele exploded, swelling to 6.3 million users—exactly twice as many as a year ago—and shows no signs of slowing.
Meanwhile, the merchant network surged past the 2,000‑partner mark, spanning almost 9,000 brick‑and‑mortar locations.
The online channel ignited this expansion, rocketing 405% as e‑commerce POS lending took off, while the offline footprint added 631 fresh merchant sites, a 50% jump.
“We are proud to deliver multiple‑fold growth in our loan portfolio, significantly outpacing the overall expansion of consumer lending in the Philippines,” a co‑founder remarked, emphasizing the mission to empower people with accessible financing and AI‑driven digital tools.
Another founder highlighted the relentless momentum, noting that revenue has been tripling annually since 2022 and that the triumph in unsecured lending lays a solid foundation for new fintech products and broader market forays.
Backed by a multinational team of over 600 fintech professionals with experience across more than 20 markets, Skyro is poised to scale its model beyond the Philippines.
Launched in 2022, Skyro operates through Advanced Finance Solutions, Inc. and Skyro Lending, Inc., the latter owning the Skyro app, both fully registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
