AI developers continue to roll out model upgrades and new functionalities, and the latest addition to Claude is a usage‑review tool called Reflect.

Reflect is designed to answer key questions about AI interaction, such as optimal frequency of use, appropriate task selection, and whether the technology is supplanting human thinking.

The feature compiles a summary of a user’s activity over a chosen period—ranging from a month to a year—much like a music‑listening recap, highlighting trends and patterns.

Reflect is currently offered as a beta capability to all Claude subscription levels, including Free, Pro, and Max.

To enable Reflect, users must first activate the Memory capability in the Settings menu; the option appears under Capabilities in both web and mobile applications.

Once activated, the tool generates an automatic overview of the most recent month’s usage, with the ability to adjust the time frame via a drop‑down selector and refresh the data.

Testing shows that even with limited retained conversation history, the summary delivers meaningful observations about the user’s typical tasks and interaction style.

The report divides activity into categories, presents a daily‑usage chart, and evaluates prompting proficiency, including delegation and discernment scores.

In one assessment, high scores were recorded for delegating tasks to the chatbot and judging output quality, while lower marks indicated a need for clearer prompt descriptions.

Such self‑audits can help heavy users reassess their reliance on AI, offering a perspective comparable to popular listening‑summary services.

Although the narrative style of the summary leans toward polished storytelling, the overall feedback remains balanced and actionable.

Reflect also provides a shortcut to set quiet hours and break intervals, enabling users to impose screen‑time limits and receive reminders to pause prompting.
