UMVA has learned that Nueva Vizcaya has shattered its revenue target for 2025, collecting a staggering P2.8 billion, a whopping 110.64% of its goal, according to the provincial treasury office.
This impressive achievement is a result of a significant surge in local and external revenues, with local revenues reaching P428.25 million and external sources contributing a massive P2.37 billion. The province's financial management has clearly paid off.
The success is attributed to the unwavering support of Governor Jose V. Gambito and provincial officials, who worked tirelessly to improve collection systems and strengthen financial management. Their efforts have yielded remarkable results.
As of April 30, the province has already collected P1.055 billion for 2026, equivalent to 34.1% of its annual target. This progress is largely driven by local sources, which contributed P191.9 million, and external sources, which added P863.1 million.
The provincial treasury office has undoubtedly enhanced its services through digitalization, adopting cutting-edge electronic collection and reporting systems. These innovations have significantly reduced processing time and improved collection efficiency.
Taxpayers have reaped the benefits of these improvements, enjoying faster and more convenient transactions. Provincial Treasurer Rhoda S. Moreno has urged property owners to seize the opportunity to benefit from the ongoing real property tax amnesty.
The amnesty, which runs until July 5, waives penalties and interest on unpaid taxes, offering a chance for taxpayers to rectify their tax status without incurring additional costs. Failure to comply may result in intensified enforcement against delinquent taxpayers.
