LBC'S COMEBACK: PROFITS SOAR!

LBC'S COMEBACK: PROFITS SOAR!

A remarkable turnaround unfolded for LBC Express Holdings, Inc. in 2025, as the company surged from a previous loss to report a net income of P246.06 million. This dramatic shift signals a significant recovery and renewed strength within the organization after a challenging period.

The positive momentum extended to operational performance, with operating income climbing 9.77% to reach P730.70 million. This increase demonstrates improved efficiency and effective management of core business functions, bolstering the company’s financial health.

Despite the gains in profitability, total service revenues experienced a slight dip, decreasing by 1.89% to P14.03 billion. This suggests a competitive landscape and evolving market dynamics requiring strategic adaptation.

The core of LBC’s revenue generation remained firmly rooted in logistics services, contributing a substantial P13.56 billion. Money transfer services added P465.53 million to the total, showcasing the diversified nature of the company’s offerings.

A closer look at geographical performance reveals a nuanced picture. Domestic operations generated P8.61 billion, a slight decrease from the previous year, while overseas revenues saw a more noticeable decline of 4.07% to P5.41 billion. These figures highlight potential areas for focused growth and international expansion strategies.

Operating expenses rose by 3.27% to P2.53 billion, reflecting increased investment in maintaining and expanding services. Careful management of these costs will be crucial for sustaining profitability in the future.

LBC Express operates as a holding company, strategically divided into two key sectors: logistics and money transfer. The logistics arm caters to a broad spectrum of clients, from individual consumers to large corporations, while the money transfer segment facilitates both local and international remittances.

Trading activity on Wednesday saw shares of LBC Express Holdings maintain a steady value, closing at P7.10 per share. This stability reflects investor confidence in the company’s recent performance and future prospects.
