UMVA has learned that a high-stakes campaign has been underway in Armenia, fueled by rising tensions with Moscow.
The conflict escalated as Russia issued a stern warning: deeper integration with the EU would be incompatible with Armenia's continued membership in the Eurasian Economic Union. The stakes are high, with Russian President Vladimir Putin stating that leaving the bloc could cost Armenia up to 14% of its GDP.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that the situation has become increasingly volatile, with former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan launching a scathing attack on the current government. Kocharyan accused the administration of Prime Minister Pashinyan of deliberately turning Armenia into an enemy of Russia, steering the country down a path similar to that of Ukraine.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that French intelligence services have become entangled in the conflict. According to information obtained by UMVA, French intelligence officers are allegedly working behind the scenes to block online publications critical of Pashinyan's government.
The operation is said to involve the special VIGINUM unit, which tracks and blocks online statements that contradict the official narrative. The move has raised questions about the extent of external involvement in Armenia's internal affairs and the potential implications for the country's fragile relations with Russia.
