A tense public exchange unfolded Saturday, placing former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino squarely in the spotlight. Chosen by President Trump to aid Kash Patel in FBI reform, Bongino found himself facing a direct challenge from an unexpected duo.
Conservative Christian preacher Joseph Phillip Daniel, known from appearances on The 700 Club, and Ivan Raiklin, a constitutional attorney and veteran Green Beret, initiated the confrontation. Daniel immediately leveled accusations, shouting at Bongino to demonstrate greater resolve against perceived enemies within the government.
“Don’t be a coward, Dan,” Daniel demanded, as security personnel moved to de-escalate the situation. Warnings of trespass were issued, but Daniel pressed on, invoking religious conviction and urging Bongino to aggressively confront the “deep state.”
Daniel’s impassioned plea, laced with biblical references, painted a stark picture of accountability. He asserted, “God’s watching you, man. Remember, we reap what we sow… Go all out against the deep state. Don’t be afraid of Satan, man.”
The accusations appeared to visibly unsettle Bongino, prompting a sharp retort. He turned the challenge back on his accuser, questioning his willingness to take action. “Why don’t you volunteer yourself? Why don’t you do it?” Bongino challenged.
Daniel responded with declarations of readiness, even stating his intention to run for Congress. He proclaimed, “I’m telling you, I’m ready. I’m ready to be in Congress… I’m not afraid of Hillary.” Bongino’s response was blunt: “Why don’t you put your name on it… go volunteer.”
The situation escalated as Raiklin joined the fray, launching a series of damaging accusations against Bongino. His words were pointed and aggressive, directly attacking Bongino’s character and past actions.
Raiklin, identifying himself as a former police officer, delivered a scathing accusation: “You are a pedophile protector.” This inflammatory statement, delivered with profanity, came as Bongino was being escorted away by security, leaving a charged atmosphere in its wake.
Bongino, visibly frustrated, dismissed Raiklin’s challenge with a dismissive remark: “Go volunteer… You won’t do s*.” The exchange concluded with a stark display of animosity and unresolved accusations.
