Cucurella Promises Tattoo After Spain's Euro 2024 Victory

Cucurella Promises Tattoo After Spain's Euro 2024 Victory

Marc Cucurella is set to honor a bold promise after helping Spain claim the World Cup title in New Jersey on Sunday.

The full-back stated before the tournament that he would get manager Luis de la Fuente’s face tattooed on his body if Spain won the trophy.

Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 after extra time in the final, dominating possession despite a narrow margin of victory.

The 27-year-old confirmed he intends to follow through on his commitment, though he is still deciding on the placement of the ink.

De la Fuente has urged his player to keep his word, noting that his face is not the worst image Cucurella could have chosen.

This is not the first time Cucurella has made a public wager tied to a major tournament outcome.

Ahead of Spain’s Euro 2024 triumph, he pledged to dye his hair red if the team won, a promise he fulfilled after the final.

Cucurella completed a transfer to Real Madrid from Chelsea earlier this summer in a deal worth just under £52 million.

He described the move as difficult but necessary, citing the opportunity to return to Spain and join one of the world’s top clubs.
