She described a “big aha” moment, realizing the tendency to categorize 60 million people based on a single issue is fundamentally flawed. Voters are primarily focused on financial stability and keeping more of their hard-earned money.
Beyond economic concerns, McClain highlighted the positive impact of recent Republican policies, specifically tax reductions on tipped and overtime wages. These changes resonated deeply with various groups, including first responders.
The elimination of taxes on tips proved particularly popular, and the overtime wage adjustments were appreciated by police officers and other emergency personnel often required to work extended hours. This boosted morale within those critical professions.
